Dentistry has always been a large part of my life as my father was a Navy dentist and then in private practice for over 60 years. I have been very fortunate that I was not only exposed to dentistry but was privileged to be able to observe and work with a very talented and accomplished dentist. I am one of the fortunate few who truly love what I do for a living, so much so that when I do volunteer work it is always doing dentistry. The best part about dentistry is not the technical side of the profession; it is the tremendous diversity of the patients themselves.

My biggest efforts are the hundreds of hours of dental care that I have provided through the Red Cross over the past 15 years. I have been on a mission to Haiti through Rotary International and three missions around the world for Operation Smile.
